Yes! With your written permission, I’m happy to collaborate with teachers, school counselors, occupational therapists, speech and language therapists, or other providers involved in your care or your child’s care. I believe that communication and coordinated support across all environments can be essential, especially when supporting children and teens.

Your first session provides an opportunity to get to know each other a bit, gather information about your concerns, history and your goals for yourself or your family. This will guide your initial treatment plan going forward.
If you are a parent or caregiver, the first intake session is just for you! This gives us a dedicated, private space to discuss your child's history, explore what's bringing you in, and share any concerns you might have in a confidential setting.
-
At your child’s first session, they will be introduced to the playroom, where they will be able to choose what to play with based on their interests. Most children LOVE the playroom! Often they don’t even want to leave — and that’s okay! It provides an opportunity to start learning those skills in real time.
While your child is in session, you will have an opportunity to relax and unwind in our waiting area, where you can help yourself to some coffee or snacks, and a collection of books and resources to browse through that have been curated for our clientele.

Choosing a therapist who is self pay allows you to select the therapist that is best fit for your needs, and allows the therapist to provide support that is customized for each individual. Some benefits include:
Flexibility in scheduling.
Parents’ ability to meet with the therapist before their child begins therapy to share their child's history, discuss concerns, and ask questions..
No diagnosis required, which can be especially beneficial for young children
Enhanced confidentiality, as your treatment information is not shared with insurance companies.
A personalized experience where your family feels comfortable, heard, and cared for every step of the way.

You have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining how much your medical care will cost.
Under the law, health care providers need to give patients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the bill for medical items and services.
• You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency items or services. This includes related costs like medical tests, prescription drugs, equipment, and hospital fees.
• Make sure your health care provider gives you a Good Faith Estimate in writing at least 1 business day before your medical service or item. You can also ask your health care provider, and any other provider you choose, for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule an item or service.
• If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill.
• Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate. For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises or call 800-985-3059.
