A space just for parents…
Parents deserve a space to feel
safe, seen, and supported.
Sometimes parents just need a place to exhale, and be their authentic selves.
It can be exhausting to hold it together all the time on the outside, and parents deserve their own support. Therapy can be a space where you come to take care of yourself first, so you can come from a place of calm and confidence when facing life’s challenges.
Other times, parents bring their children in for support.
As a therapist, when working with children, I also work closely and collaboratively with parents to empower them with strategies to bring the desired changes into their homes. While I may have the opportunity to work with your child one hour a week, you have the unique opportunity to have a significant impact at home in your child’s growth.
I walk alongside your family in this journey in a manner that enhances your confidence and growth in parenting, providing you with concrete strategies that help expand on your child’s growth in the therapy room.

What’s Child-Parent Relationship Therapy?
Many parents want to break patterns from their own childhood, but feel stuck in how to do so when trying to manage their children’s difficult or confusing behaviors. Child-Parent Relationship Therapy (CPRT) is an evidence-based intervention designed to reduce children’s behavioral and emotional struggles, and strengthen the parent-child relationship.
CPRT provides parents with a framework that applies to all ages and stages of their child’s development. Parents are taught how to bring the techniques that are used in a child’s therapy session into their home, and learn how to respond effectively in any given situation. Children learn to self regulate and make choices that are within limits the parents set, all while preserving parents’ connection with their child.
How do you use it in parenting sessions?
I will support your family using a holistic and neuro-affirming framework, at a pace that meets your family’s needs, while introducing strategies from Child Parent Relationship Therapy (CPRT) to help restore peace in your home.
If you prefer a more formal approach, you may also choose to participate in the 10-week CPRT parent training program which covers all the principles in a structured manner.
